HEY, MY NAME IS KAYLA
Newborn, Maternity, Milestone, & Family Photographer
My passion for photography grew out of my experiences as a mother. During family photo sessions, I often found myself imagining different creative ideas and approaches. Over time, I began exploring photography as a way to bring those ideas to life and to capture the moments that mattered most to me.
Growing up, I was inspired by the work of Anne Geddes, whose images decorated our home. Her creativity sparked something in me, and I started dreaming up my own ways of telling stories through photos.
As a mom of three, I especially wanted to preserve the little everyday memories of my children. During the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and my youngest child’s health issues, photography became even more meaningful to me. It has been a personal outlet — a way to hold onto fleeting moments and create keepsakes for myself and my loved ones.

This is Amanda, a dear friend who often lends me a hand when I’m photographing newborns. She has such a calm presence with little ones that I jokingly call her the “baby whisperer.” Babies always seem to settle right into her arms.
When Amanda is with me, it gives me peace of mind because I know the baby feels safe and cared for. Her gentle touch allows me to focus on capturing those sweet, fleeting moments. I’m so grateful for her help, and it makes the whole experience more relaxed for everyone.
